Aims & Scope

Acknowledgment to Reviewers

Sport, as social phenomena, is a part of cultural, political, economic and religion way of life of one nation, a part of their tradition and philosophy. Same as science, in its being sport is international, what makes it accessible and understandable to all nations of the world. Not only international, but at the same time interdisciplinary, and in a center of attention of experts from almost all areas, from politics, religion, philosophy, medicine, law, mathematics, physics to music and literature. 

Our leading idea was to open the doors of our institution to people who carry the spirit of science and come from all over the world, so they can publish and reveal their findings in sport science. 

Our aim and scope is that throughout this journal to enrich ourselves and others, most of all with new findings from the areas of sports, physical education and recreation.
SportLogia journal covers the areas of sports and physical education. It is issued twice a year in one volumen per year till 2014 (every June and December) and in one issue per year since 2015 (December and publishes original scientific papers, reviewed scientific papers, scientific gathering presentastions, short scientific articles and professional articles from the area of sports, physical education, recreation, kinesiology anthropology, training methods, sport biology and exercise, sport medicine, sport history and sport management as well as contributions from other sciences (medicine, sociology, psychology, philosophy, exact sciences and mathematics) applied in sports.

SportLogia journal  is an Open Access journal since 2010, with double blind peer-review process, published by University of Banja Luka, Faculty of Physical Education end Sports.

All articles can be downloaded free of charge and used in accordance with mentioned license.
Authors don’t retain the copyright and full publishing rights without restrictions, but Sportlogia journal doesn’t charge authors for any part of article preparation, maintains and publishing.

There are no publication fees or APCs (article processing charges)

Editor-in-chief’s info since establishing journal:

The first editor-in-chief, then the Gazette of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, was Ph.D. Simo Vukovic. On that occasion, three one-year issues were published:
Vol.1, No.1, 2005
Vol.2, No.1, 2006
Vol.3, No.1, 2007 and
Vol.4, No.1, 2008 (editor-in-chief Prof. Dr. Goran Bošnjak)

In the period from January 2011 to December 2015, the editor-in-chief of the journal was  Ph.D. Slobodan Simović. During this period, the following editions were published:
Vol. 7, No. 1, June 2011 and Vol. 7, No. 2, December 2011
Vol. 8, No. 1, June 2012 and Vol. 8, No. 2, December 2012
Vol. 9, No. 1, June 2013 and Vol. 9, No. 2, December 2013
Vol. 10, No. 1, June 2014 and
Vol. 10, No. 2, December 2014 (English only)
Vol. 11, No. 1, June 2015 (English only).

In the period from January 2016 until 31.05 2022 the editor-in-chief of the journal was Ph. D.  Goran Bošnjak.  All editions are bilingual (in Serbian and/or local languages, and in English). The magazine is published once a year. During this period, the following editions were published:
Vol. 6, No. 1, July 2010 (in Serbian and/or local languages ​​only),
and the following bilingual editions (with English):

Vol. 12, No. 1, June 2016.
